Something else totally irrelevant to my earlier questions is... I checked my cars online Vosa MOT test certificates and the Certificate the dealer gave me had 89,125 miles on the Odometer... two certificates before that one the mileage read 146,000+ miles ???? What the flippin hell is going on there? All I can think is its been in a smash (which if you look at the work on all the nearside bodywork it has) and had another engine put in or something fishy is going on??? Can anyone enlighten me please?

Car must have been clocked .Doesn't matter if another engine fitted , you dont turn mileage back . If it was me I would get car back to dealer ASAP for a refund .Take it dealer didn't tell you the correct mileage car had done ?

If you can see damages repairs , make sure car was not previously written off . If car was not clocked , speedo must have been replaced .But still correct mileage should have been declared .

No mate. I was told over the phone it was 89,125. Apparantly it is not common practice to do an MOT history check. Local Garages, where I bought the car in Leeds, are recorded in the MOT history for NA54 LOJ as recording 146,380 Miles on the clock on an MOT test certificate done there on the 20/01/2011. An MOT test certificate for NA54 LOJ done at 'Unique Cars Centre Ltd' (the garage I was refered to as one that did allot of work for 'Local Garages') is the test station name for the next MOT done on the 12/07/2011 and has an odometer reading of 89,119 Miles, this MOT test failed. A further MOT certificate done again at 'Unique Cars Centre Ltd' on the 13/07/2011 shows the car odometer reading as 89,125 Miles. I rang the garage to complain and I am to ring back Monday when Cameran the manager gets in.
