2004 Citroen C3 sharp tapping noise from alternator belt or pully area

sharp tapping noise from alternator belt /crank pully area (sounds like a loud bad tappet)at tick over and medium engine speed . if you take some of the tension off the belt by moving the sprung tensioner assembly IT STOPS!. seems to coincide with slight vibration of tensioner. replaced belt, checked both tensioner pullys,Both run smoothly
noise seemed to come from bottom crank pully .told they can delaminate so replaced but still does it,but not so loud and now seems to vary in intensity on tickover but goes when you rev up or take tension off the belt slightly.
any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi Is your alternator freewheel hub okay,as if this is seized it could cause a belt noise,To check it u remove belt turn alternator one way then sharply the other,the centre shalft should turn the oposite way,hope this helps
