Car won't move in gear

i was driving to my mums when i stopped at a junction and went to pull off revs went up but car didnt move hardly now when you put it in gear and take your foot off the clutch pedal and give it some gas it moves at a snails pace
please help anyone

Sounds like clutch slipping / burnt out .

right thanks i have replaced the clutch car is working fine also if my battery is no good would the car make a clicking noise when trying to turn over but battery charger says its fully charged
