A couple of days a ago I started my car as normal and I reversed half way out of the garage and it just cut out, I turned it off and tried again at about the 3rd time of me trying to restart it, it started!
Yesterday morning the same happened again but this time it just [b]won't[/b] restart!
I left it over night and today my battery light is flashing on the dashboard :/ so thinking that it might be the battery I hooked it up to the battery of my Grandads car and it made no difference :'(
Does any one know what the problem could be?

Are you sure you were getting a good connection with leads and it wasn't cheap leads ?
