Hi.....cooling system is topped up with water but now and again the engine overheat light comes on. enigine is overheated,, you can hear it. once i let it cool again and start up it runs ok. has any one had this problem...open for idea's .thanks

If using water and overheating , pressure test cooling system to locate leak .If not an external leak and rad . / thermostat etc o.k , get a block test carried out in case head gasket gone and pressurising cooling system .

Just to add , if it tends to overheat in town / traffic , check fan is cutting in o.k .
