2005 Citroen C2 door not opening when using central locking

Car: Citroen C2
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.1
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
hi all, need your help. Recently brought a c2 which was left sitting for a few months, everything worked fine then the following morning, (less than 24hours after purchase) I clicked the lock button on the remote fob and then unlock and the car wouldn't open.
I had no access to the driver doer or passenger door, however the boot had stayed open. I could hear the motor clicking when clicking the lock button, but wasn't doing anything to the doors.
It seems the deadlock was on and wouldn't open.
I have tried the manual lock and nothing as this has seized up over time.
I have taken car to a mechanic friend of ours who has tried the key fob, which shows no fault, he has hooked it up to a computer and that shows no faults, he has changed the fuse box and no change.
It's as if the car will lock but will not unlock itself again.
He is thinking of changing the ecu.
But thought I would right on here to see if there could be anything other that we haven't thought of.

In need of help as I'm helpless without the use of a car and 5 months pregnant so cannot keep climbing in through the boot to take it to garages. 😭

Google Citroen C2 bsi reset procedure,
Citroen owners club has a good description,
follow the reset instructions,
See if it works.
Oh the bsi controls just about everything electrical,
including doors.
And bsi is short for body systems interface.

bsi stands for built in systems interface and I don't think a reset will work. You need a new BSi as I sounds like it has wound all the locks in.New locks wil probably also be required

Six and half a dozen re. BSI , called both .With some makers that stands for Built-in Systems Interface.

Here is some useful information from RP Automotive Services. Mobile Car Mechanic Sittingbourne.

Peugeot Citroen cars have a “B S I” (Body Systems Interface) ECU.

Apologies maybe I should have referred to it for what it is an intelligent slave unit. But whatever it sounds like it needs replacing.
