I have a problem with the power steering on my wifes C2. It steers to the right easy but when you turn it to the left it is a lot harder. I have heard that the power steering is part electric and this could be the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Citroen C2 Electric Power Steering Rack / Pump / Motor

The Citroen C2 Electric Power Steering failure is very common on all models, the steering may start off intermittent but if left will lead to total failure causing the steering to become very heavy in both directions, the steering can also be heavy one way and self steer causing the vehicle to pull to one side when driving down the road.

The common faults that will indicate that your electric power steering rack is faulty are:

1. Heavy steering in both directions.

2. Intermittent loss of steering.

3. Complete loss of power steering.

4. Self steer (Pulling to one side).

5. Heavy steering one way.
