Gearbox linkage

I found the gearbox linkage is needed i am replacing 2 short and 1 long are they easy to remove the old ones and replace the new ones,

now i have found at the end of the gear stick rod a circle with nothing in the middle should there be a rubber bush there or will i have to buy another gear stick rod, if so will any gear stick rod fit from citroen/partner
