Hi guys,am experiencing a light ticking noise from engine when accelerating,normally kicks in above 1500rpm,not noticeable when idling,any ideas,fixes would be appreciated,cheers,Pete

not sure what model you have but i had a 325 e30 witch did the same thing, it was the sound of a slight blow in the exhaust manifold gasket which was being transfered up the steering columb, which was hollow, so the noise was coming out behind the steering wheel, i put a bit of grip fill in the hole, didnt fix it but helped. regards
