just bought car within 1 week temp light came on ,topped up coolant level and bled system almost a week later same happend, temp up over 90 dgrsbut cooling fan worked header tank empty

You will need to get a pressure test on cooling system to see if there are any external leaks . If nothing shows , get a block test carried out .

Have been told that there was a problem with radiator on those models and problem was cured by replacing the rad.
