I've owned my Escort for 11 years, we've sorta grown up together.
A 1996 1.6 Cabriolet and I love it to bits. She looks good, sounds amazing and as my daughter recently said you don't have to think about driving my car,it drives itself.
If there's anything wrong,I know straight away. There's always been the wishbones and I've learned to always replace both. Unfortunately potholes demand this regularly.
I've never failed an mot,had to remove my sunstrip once tho, petty nonsense.
I've had to replace parts that wear out naturally.Tyres Wiper blades. window switch. But nothing else.
I have a couple of problems right now my air bag light is blinking 4-4 and when i indicate my brake lights flash too. Confusing for the poor sod behind me and needs sorting. Having problems pinning it down tho and i'd be grateful for any help.
Everyone knows my car in the area, no one touches her and some have tried to buy her. There are much faster cars but with slower drivers so we hold our own easily, especially around corners cos i'd swear that we're on rails but no just lowered and sat on 17" wheels. makes a hell of a difference. Thanks for listening.
