Volvo sold 47,796 cars in August 2019, with all major sales regions showing an upward trend in sales. Interestingly the sales of the SUV range (XC40, XC60 and XC90) seem to be driving a large part of the increase in volume.
The UK seems to have a strong appetite for these models and showed the biggest growth in August compared to the other major European markets for Volvo.
The new XC60 is currently the top-selling model, followed closely by the XC40.
With Volvo's leap forward in styling and luxury it looks like the plan was to take a chunk out of their German competitor's market share, and with these results it looks like the gamble has paid off.
