Hi, I wonder if any mechanically minded folks out there could offer any advice please...sometimes my camper van will start first time and other times (especially when left overnight)it takes ages and many turns of the key before firing up...a few days ago i had to call out the recovery man who squirted some brake cleaner in the air intake thingy and got me going; however today she was relucctant to play! Thanks in advance for any replies. Tom (new today)

sounds like your glow plugs are knackered.take them out and get them tested or replaced,also check the glow plug relay is not sticking

hi tom, have you tried using the cold start, i have a 1.6td 1988
