2007 Volkswagen Touran everything???

I recently had to have a new lock as my keys got stuck in the old one. Since then the central locking has been on the blink (the far side back door remains open, then the blower packed up completely- no air at all- garage tried to change the resistor(?) but that didn't work. They have attached it to my battery for now as they can't do anything this side of Christmas and as long as I remember to turn blower off every time I get out of car it should be ok apparently, until they can look at it properly which sounds very expensive. I have just got the car back tonight and the electro mechanical steering light has come on red and the steering is really stiff.... am at a bit of a loss.... any help very gratefully received.
