2018 Volkswagen T-Roc central locking of front passenger door

central locking system with ns front passenger door not locking and the auto locking system keeps trying to lock then unlock clicking so I turned this off. Again tried to reset and it started to lock the failed later. Had a new switch fitted with no better results and now the passenger door will not lock with the key fob VW want £100 to diagnose should I go down this route ? The car has only done 13,000mls

Probably best and cheaper in the long run to bite the bullet and get VW to scan / diagnose for fault codes
