2000 Volkswagen Sharan engine error

When were the plugs checked , the fuel filter replaced , the timing belt replaced , air filter checked ?? Could go on and on , but unless you get it scanned with the likes of Vag com , to see what caused the light to come on , only guesses

I have replaced the oil and the oil filter and the air filter. So do you suggest to replace the timing belt also? Could it be the timing belt?

With regard to white smoke , check your coolant level first .

Hi sir, i checked the coolant level and it seems ok.
The error that is shown it says" oil pressure engine" does this explain the fault?

Could be a faulty oil pressure switch / sender which is minor compared to alternative which is major engine wear causing oil pressure drop .Depends on how bad white smoke is , may be normal on cold start up , especially at this time of year .If excessive needs investigating , many causes .

Hi sir, the issue of engine light and oil pressure warning was solved, this solved the issue of power loss. But i still have the white smoke problem. It comes out for 5 mon and stops for about 5 min than it starts again!
