1996 Volkswagen Sharan wont change gear

whenever i went out in the car it would jump in and out of gear especially at traffic lights and at junctions.i was told that it was lack of automatic transmission fluid in the gearbox. this morning a mechanic topped up the gearbox with about 2 litres of fluid.The car drove home great.Went out later on and now its seems to be stuck in gear im going 20mph and doing 3500-4000revs. any ideas?????

check your not losing the oil you could have a leak

i cant see any oil on my drive way.Do you think that it may have too much oil in now?
