when i rev my car there sounds like air is escaping from throttle housing and also the revs dip low for about a second then revs back up

with out seeing it its difficult to say but it could be 2 things 1 a split pipe that will want replacing or even a inlet manifold gasket broken that will also need replacing so either of these could cause the symtoms you are having
