2000 Volkswagen Polo banging at the air flow meter side

When you start the car, it cannot raise or accelerate. If it raises/ accelerates it doesn't raise/accelerate properly. When you slow down, it will be very difficult to pick up/ accelerate again.
The air flow meter is always banging. We've changed the fuel pump, the fuel filter, and the air flow meter with the air filter. Still the problem persists.
Even the exhaust checks have been made.
What can be done now?

Check engine coolant temp sensor .
