1997 Volkswagen Polo can you reset your reader and key so my car will start

car dont start atall the readers not pickin the chip up in my key can it be reset some how?

hi not sure if this will help you but my old clio had same problem after work done.. put key in ignition and hold remote button in for few seconds then with dutton still held turn key to ignition.. hope it helps
