That sounds like a flat battery , have you checked the battery you got ?

tried the starter when had it out and it was fine as i say it bizzare i fink the fault must be realy small so i dont think a diagnostic would even pick it up and as far as i knw the earths were checked its bizzare realy a right brain teaser so if you love a challenge haha

Could be ignition switch knackered , but rather than keep on guessing , you will have to start from scratch and trace through for faults in ignition / starter cicuit .If you dont know how to check it out or dont have a meter , get an auto electrician to test the circuit .Simple to test if you know what your doing .

check you are getting live to the solenoid and that you are getting a live on the trigger wire when you crank ignition,if not then trace wiring back to the ignition switch, check all fuses, relays etc, consult a wiring diagram if possible

As your last post , leave it to your auto electrician who is coming to check out car .He will know the sequence for tracing this fault i.e ignition switch already suggested etc.etc.
