2006 Volkswagen Polo all gauges going haywire and the car's ignition is not even on? lights flashing, all of them.

Hi guys. I got a serious problem. Or I hope not. Its been raining here allot. And my car just went for a valy. In the beginning the car didnt want to pick up revs, then i sorted that out. I just dried the spark plugs, now. I went away for a few days with a other vehicle. When I came back. I climbed into the car, didn't even turn the ignition on. And all the lights are flashing, and my petrol. And temp gauges are bouncing up and down. And my revs counter. But when I drive. It doesn't feel to bad, maybe loosing some of my power steering. Lights are working. Indicators are working. But the lights where my gauges are going on and off, even when I drive. And when I switch the car off, I CAN EVEN TAKE THE KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION. And they will still be flashing. Please give me some advice to what it can be, before I take it to the garage. Thanks alot.
