Hi!
I have a weird problem with my 1998 Vw Polo.

Sometimes when i try to turn the ignition on/even when the car is running, the car suddenly losing power. And when that happens the instrument panel makes a weird noise, and reset itself.

- I have replaced the electrical part on the ignition lock.

I'm from Norway, and couldn't find any solution for my problem on any Norwegian forums, so I would appreciate your help guys =)

Seen that type of fault when battery low or alternator fault .Might be worth checking alternator output and testing battery also .

Ok. So I tested the battery, and it shoved 12,5 V when car was not running. Isn't the battery supposed to show 14,5 or something?

i have seen similar symptoms, my guess is your alternator is faulty, as the guru says, you should check the output of the alternator, i think around 14v is what it should be.
