Ive had this car for about 2 months now as im about to take my driving test, but recently it has stopped starting. If i put the key in the door the alarm goes off and it i put the key in the ignition the alarm starts and the car just will not start. i have tried using jump cables from another car to see if it it the battery but nothing happened. i have no idea what to do as i cant take it to a garage or anything. please helpp ??!! :)

does the car have a remote with the key,if so try changing the battery in remote,does the car have an after market alarm or immobiliser fitted?

No the guy who sold it to me didnt give me a remote, just the key.it has the normal car alarm and a previous owner has fitted another one but doesnt say what one it is. please please help.
