My car shudders and the engine warning light comes on briefly then go off. We have replaced the coils but it's still doing it. There isn't much power either.

Take it you checked plugs ?

Are you referring to the spark plugs? If so the no,could this be the problem?

Yes , worth a look .One of my friends had the same car in a garage where they replaced coils .When he got home , he brought car to me as it was still missing . On checking , found they had cracked the porcelain on 1 plug causing it to track /misfire . Cowboys !!!!
