The drove well and all of a sudden the clutch went loose and the car can't drive now as it can't shift gears. So I'm unable to start the car though it does switch on

Check your clutch master cylinder fluid level and top up if needed .Could also be clutch assembly collapsed and needing replaced . If you can move gear stick into neutral with engine off , no reason why car should not start
