My Polo has a whistling sound from the engine and makes a sound when doing sharp turns.

You really need to supply more info , there are all types of noises that can happen when doing sharp turns , rumbles , rattles , scraping , clicking are just some . The engine whistle could be a vacuum leak but need to know if and when it varies , does it change pitch , checked air filter box and hoses

It makes a rumble sound when turning.

Check wheel bearings and driveshaft c/v joints ASAP
