Headlights and dash lights fail when using high/full beam, Headlight and dash lights work when switched on. If driving on unlit road and need to use high beam the head lights and dash lights fail when I switch beam off to accommodate on coming traffic (ie no lights at all) have to revert to DRL until I can stop and restart the car - no fault shows on dash - have had a new switch for headlights etc
its an intermittent fault and cannot resolve
Any advice welcome

I'd suggest a VAGCOM scan looking at the "Onboard supply control unit".

The problem with the lights failing was down to the 'Relay' it took a long time to resolve and find the fault
