1998 Volkswagen Polo not starting

Car died whilst driving, flashing oil light came up n lost all power since then car won't start. Getting no spark. When trying to start oil light flashes checked sender switch fine. Oil pressure fine. Relay fine.

Check the distributor is turning when the engine is cranked -to verify the distributor drive and the timing belt are ok .

Done this I've got compression got fuel just no spark

You dont say what engine in car , some suffer from Hall sensor in distributor failing , resulting in no spark ..
