Went to car boot sale started driving home 2nd gear trickling along and engine just cut out,plenty petrol getting through,suddenly no spark,tried all no luck,got rescue out,crap"mechanic"no diagnostic equipment--no help ,towed home.
Cecked it out myself--no spark at--plugs--or coil,looks like no power getting to coil--no immobiliser fitted--never any problem like this before.

You need to trace power.
What triggers the spark in your car? Can you create the trigger yourself to see if it then sparks?
Its a case of tracing the wires unfortunately. Car that old should be pretty simple
