1996 Volkswagen Polo 1.6 auto
Car: Volkswagen Polo
Year: 1996
Variant: 1.6 auto
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
well, my polo doesn`t want to start when engine is cold. I replaced temp switch. When I cleaned throttle body it started 1st time but revs where quite high. After 2,3 weeks revs dropped to under 900 and car doesn`t want to start. I have to accelerate when I turn the key to start it. Any ideas what it can be?

Common fault caused by engine coolant temp sensor .Take it you have checked the plugs also.
