Problem starting when left for half hour

car starts fine in all weather and temps, it drives fine but when left to stand for half hour it wont start engine turns over but wont run. car will only then start when left for a futher 20min or when coil light comes on .also if the car is left standing for over the half hour period say for about 45mins it will start fine no probs. been to garage had starter motor changed and heat sensor looked at machanic reckons its fine can anyone help

suspect coolant temp sensor,or getting air into fuel system .

i had the same problem i have changed the temperature plug its comes of one of the pipes at the front of the engine, and it has a plug plugged into it remove the plug and replace part it plugs into, its only a couple of quid, radiator water will poor out when you remove it.
