2002 Volkswagen Polo can wont start - immobliser

Car: Volkswagen Polo
Year: 2002
Variant: 1.2 manual
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I bought a VW polo 1.2 02 yesterday from a dealer.. I test drove it fine, picked it up next day started fine and drove it home fine and even stopped off for some petrol. After I parked up at home 2 hours later I tried starting the car and it wouldn't start, the lights electric windows all work fine. The electic immobliser dashboard icon (car with a key inside) keeps flashing on the dashboard when I insert my key!! The spare key wont start the engine either. Am really worried and can't fid anything online.. Does anyone have a idea how to sort this please

Try disconnecting ,reconnecting the battery .see if it starts ,if not you will have to contact the dealer as you will have some kind of warranty on just purchasing it.

i would contact the dealer you bought car from unless it was a trade sale they have an obligation to sort it out for you or give you your money back
