High reving when stopped

when the car is idling it is at about 800 rpm. it seems fine im driving but when i stop it stays at 1200 rpm and takes ages to get down to the idle rpm. any ideas what could be causing this?

Could be the throttle body. ie, needs cleaning or replacing,...
