2004 Volkswagen Polo power steering/abs/handbreak problem

since I have had the brakes replaced the fault has started, sometimes the radio cuts out for a few seconds, other times the steering light comes on, abs light and handbreak light, an alarm goes off and I lose steering, I had the electrics checked (not by the vw dealer) they didnt find the fault, then the car was fine for 2 weeks but the problem is back, scared to drive car now

Take the car to a recommended garage for a code read and see what that shows up.

was this solved as I have the same problem with my partners polo, been to auto electrician they said they found a couple of bad connections and was ok for a couple of days then it returns, fault codes reset, steering goes stiff, abs light comes on, handbrake light on and buzzes radio dims and if at night headlights dim as well.
