Try cranking the engine to see if fuel comes thru. Be careful tho. Get someone to hold fuel line into a container.
If you have fuel, then check for a spark at the plugs. (after you have reconected the fuel line !!)

Hai i just bought a vw polo two month ago and it runs fine but last week it gave me a problem of taking long to start were you have to crank for more than 4 to 8 times of cranking thats when it will start and once it starts it will run fine but intermittent will give a spark just on the coil where the HT lead is connected and will sometimes cut or just give some missfire and go on . Any help
