this problem has just started occuring for the last couple of months.while driving the engine stops and then starts again its as if it stalls for a split second.also today on the way home from work i turned a corner and the although the car was still running there was no acceleration.I switched the ignition off for a couple of seconds and then switched on again and it was fine.the engine management light is constantly on and the drivers side electric window works intermittently!!!! any ideas

You need to get a diagnostic scan and see what fault codes are shown .
