2002 Volkswagen Passat esp light on dash

the esp light illuminates from time to time and this seems to make the car want to speed up but seems to stop when the engine is switched off then seems ok on restart. its only done it a few times so far but its quite scary when it does.

You would be advised to get it hooked up to a VAGCOM and see what fault codes show .

faulty wheel speed sensor?check the sensors and pick ups for any obvious damage,if all looks ok then get your fault codes read
