hi all ive now got a passat but when i lock the doors with key they dont lock and it puts all the elec windows down,,if i do it with remote then its fine any suggestions

there is a micro switch on back of o/s lock that should lock all doors. it sounds like inside o/s door 2 plugs have been swapped between lock and window switches id remove door card and see.has any work been done on that door since problem started?
