2002 Volkswagen Passat when turning the car right, i get a tapping noise

When turning the car right on full lock at a junction, I get a tapping noise. I recently relpaced the cv boot thinking that would solve it. However the issue still remains & is driving me mad....any clues???

replacing the rubber boot would not have cured the problem as it is the cv joint that needs replacing completely you would be looking around £45 for this and if you are doing it yourself then you would save even more money
