2007 Volkswagen Passat engine starts and then cuts out

How to resolve this problem. Checked clocks & reset Computers not talking to each other. Could it be the ECU unit, advised it is not

Looks like from what little info on post that a few have been trying unsuccessfully to rectify . Normally I would suggest checking crank sensor , fuel filter and replacing as needed but needs scanning with Vag com to save guessing
