I assume you have checked the fuses. If they are OK check that you have voltage to switch and that it is earthing properly

there's no voltage going to the switch. where would it be earthed?
Answered Mar 10, 2013 (9 years ago)
If its a. Pin switch its mounting is its earth. Have you checked for power at the lamp
Answered Mar 10, 2013 (9 years ago)
the switch is in a plastic casing which fits into the boot lock casing. it works on a press down spring metal lever which connects when the boot closes. it has a two wire plug attached to it.

Check for voltage at your boot lamp. Are you sure the switch is in the lock
Answered Mar 11, 2013 (9 years ago)
Do you have a door open warning. Is the plug not for the lock actuator. Some vehicles have a switch with a ball bearing in it which completes the circuit when the ball rolls across the terminals. This could be the cause of your flat battery

Turn on sidelights , open boot and see if it lights . Operate switch by hand if you have it removed .
