No radio code

I got my passat without radio code unit is in safe mode so even if i had it not sure if i could get it to work what should i do ,i could buy a cd player and fit it? But existing unit has CD changer in the boot so i am not sure wether to try and fix existing unit or replace it?

Check the various sites or any ICE service centres near you and supply the model and serial no. to them and they may give you the correct code .
