2000 Volkswagen Golf slipping clutch - wittingehame

Car: Volkswagen Golf
Year: 2000
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Dealers have taken out gear box and tell me it was seal on drive shaft leaking this time and not tandem pump seal as before assured me they haven't touched that area to do the previous work would that be true?
Anyway they have as a goodwill gesture reduced the cost of replacing the seal etc.

Thanks for your expert advice, greatly appreciated. N

Are you sure they said driveshaft seal ? Was it not the rear crankshaft main oil seal, or g/box input shaft oil seal that was leaking ? Glad you got it sorted out at a reduced cost .Hope that's your car problems solved for quite a while .
