2004 Volkswagen Golf intermittant lurching and cutting out

Car: Volkswagen Golf
Year: 2004
Variant: 1.9 TDI
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
car will at times lurch and chug and cut out. always starts immediately again, may drive on normally or may continue to chug and lurch. Never does it when driving over 50mph in higher gear, but when in lower gears either slowing down or accelerating at junctions, roundabouts, traffic lights, will lurch along and then stop.
Had the fly wheel replaced (and sensor?), have had 2 further sensors replaced, the camshaft and one other (sorry for being vague) and have had heating plugs replaced. all lights are off when on computer, no fgaults showing. Any advice??

Bearing in mind the details you list and the work you have already had carried out, I would suspect debris in the fuel injection system. Explain the problem to a trustworthy 'Fuel Pump-out' firm - the kind who help people who have put the wrong fuel in their car at a petrol station. They may be able to bleed and purge your system for a reasonable fee.
