How much approx would it be to fix/fit a new mechanism for the passenger window? the motor has been taken out for the moment,would i need to buy a new motor as well?

If the motor is o.k you will only need the window regulator . You can get Window Regulator Repair Kit on the likes of E-bay from about £16/ £20. Or get one from scrapyard where you could take whole unit .Hope this helps you .
