well hello everyone hope u can help me. its my golf i left it in d get an oil seal replace and new timming belt just after the new year then when i got it back from the garage i drove it about 3.5 miles then it died out and wont start and they said it was the clutch and flywheel witch it wasnt then they said the injectors was broke then it wasnt them either then they send the ecu away to get check but that came back alright now the mechanics dont no whats wrong with it can anyone on here help me. thanks

as the fault seemed to happen after timing belt changed then i would suggest you check the belt timing is spot on,and make sure the crank and cam sensors are ok,no damage etc,are there any warning lights on?
check you are getting fuel to injectors and that you have good compression on all cylinders and then get back to us here

You would be better taking it to another garage that know more about VW's going by all the incorrect diagnosing of fault .

yes they check all cylinders and injectors and no warning lights are on. the vw specialist has it from day one .they check the compressions in each cylinder and they said they were fine. then they check the injectors and they were working. then they send the ecu away and at came bk fine aswell and im waiting for them to get back to me about the timming now. and when they use easy start it starts but runs like its running at 500 rpm and not ur normal 800-900rpm.

hi there ive got a 1999 1.6 vw golf i have just changed the engine and ever since it has never run properly i have had it ont he computer this morining and it says injector 2 is sticking open ive changed that but the problem is still there can anyone help plz
