2000 Volkswagen Golf noise when i press brake pedal ....

Car: Volkswagen Golf
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.9 TDI S
Categories: Leaks & Noises
I have recentley had new front brake pads and discs fitted to my car. However there is now a tap when I press the brake pedal from the passenger side brake. I took it to a gargae and they took it apart and said that the brake piston is sticking and needs replacing as well as the brake caliper. The noise happens each time that I press the brake pedal but not all of the time. Another garage told me to strip it apart and clean it and reapply a heat proof grease can this be the case please help THANKS....

If it's the pads sticking in calliper , clean / free off and grease with Copperslip .Should have been done when new parts fitted . If it's calliper piston sticking , either free off or replace calliper .
