2000 Volkswagen Golf squeak when depressing clutch pedal.

Car: Volkswagen Golf
Year: 2000
Variant: TDI S
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
When driving my car and I change gear from 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th there is a squeak when I depress the clutch pedal. I have tried depressing the clutch pedal when not changing gear and it does this squeak. However it does not do this all of the time but only ocassionally. There is no slipping in the clutch and no problems changing gear is the case that something needs lubricating any ideas please......

Try WD 40 or similar on clutch pedal return spring and carrier .
