2011 Volkswagen Golf thump under drivers seat carpet when braking

Can anyone advise on a thump noise when braking under drivers seat. This has no effect on the cars proformance and only happens the once when braking. It fells as if ther may be a valve / solenoid under the carpet but not sure without removing the seat and lifting the carpet so any information would be great.
